Terms of use

Rigueur is a service operated in Quebec by Abderrahmane Gourragui. It converts bank statements into structured data, performs defined arithmetic checks, and produces export files.

The service is available by invitation during early access and is currently free. You must have the legal capacity to accept these terms, provide accurate account information, and protect access to your account. You are responsible for activity conducted through it.

You must have the right and authority to upload each document and request its processing, including when it contains personal information about a client or another person. You must not use Rigueur to access information without authorization or violate a professional, contractual, or legal obligation.

You retain your rights in the documents and results. You grant Rigueur only the temporary permission needed to receive, process, and return the requested files and results.

Rigueur uses a model to extract content and then uses code to recalculate the statement arithmetic. A “Verified” status means only that the extracted data passed the applicable arithmetic checks, including totals, the closing balance, and each running balance where one is printed.

This status does not guarantee that extraction is complete, accurate, or error-free. A transaction can be omitted or misread even when the extracted figures reconcile with one another. You must compare the result with the source document before using, importing, or relying on it.

Rigueur provides a document-processing tool. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice, replace professional judgment, or become the authoritative accounting system. You remain responsible for reviewing, reconciling, and using the results.

By requesting an analysis, you instruct Rigueur and its providers to process the documents temporarily to produce the result.

You must not:

• upload a document that you are not authorized to process;
• circumvent service limits, security, authentication, or access restrictions;
• interfere with the service, probe its systems, or introduce malicious code;
• use the service for unlawful or deceptive purposes or to infringe another person's rights;
• resell or make the service available to another person without written permission.

Rigueur is a young product offered in early access. The service may be changed, interrupted, limited, or withdrawn. We may also change supported formats, usage limits, and features. A material change to these terms will be published with a new effective date.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as is and as available. Rigueur does not guarantee that it will always be accessible, process every format, or produce complete, accurate, or error-free results. Rights that cannot be waived by law remain unchanged.

To the extent permitted by law, Rigueur and its operator are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, data, or opportunities, or consequences of using a result without reviewing the source document. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Rigueur may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, creates a risk to the service, or uses resources abusively. You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute belongs before the competent courts of Quebec, subject to any mandatory right to the contrary.
